What can I do to help protect my community during this historic heat emergency?

Help us raise $1 million to replace or repair air conditioning units in the homes of Arizonans who are struggling to make ends meet.

  • Low-income households spend 3 times more of their income on energy bills than their middle and upper income counterparts
  • Reducing energy costs means families have more money to spend on food, medicine, and other essentials
  • In 2022, Wildfire distributed $225,000 to help low-income families receive new air conditioning units
    • 25 non-functioning units were replaced at an average cost of $9,000
    • Each new, energy-efficient unit will save households 20% to 40% on cooling costs every year

Wildfire is committed to raising $1 million this year by matching up to $500,000 in individual donations from community members like you.

Every dollar that you choose to give will go directly into replacing or repairing air conditioning units in the homes of people who are suffering during this heat.
