Wildfire Speaker & Workshop Series 2021

Stopping Poverty Before It Starts: Listening, Learning, Advocating and Innovating

Wildfire typically conducts an in-person, 2-day annual conference for our members, allies, and partners. Due to COVID, this year Wildfire will be presenting a virtual speaker and workshop series focused on poverty, how we can take our learnings through this pandemic and understand our communities in different ways. The intent is for speakers to share their experience with poverty, including but not limited to:

  • Lived Experience
  • Artistic Expression
  • Advocacy
  • Service Delivery

Our goal is for attendees to walk away with refreshed compassion, new ideas on engaging clients and a better understanding of the impacts of poverty and how we may work creatively and collaboratively on solutions. Additionally, attendees will be inspired to advocate or encourage their clients to advocate for change within the broader system.

The series will run throughout 2021 and allows attendees to participate as their schedule allows. Interested in attending? Sign up here to receive our updates.
